Las estrategias de los periodistas para la construcción de marca personal en Twitter: posicionamiento, curación de contenidos, personalización y especialización

Resumen

La marca personal del periodista se ha convertido en un valor clave para ganar prestigio y hacer frente a la crisis del sector. Los medios sociales contribuyen a construir la identidad digital del periodista, estrechando lazos con sus seguidores y ganando autonomía respecto a sus medios. El objetivo de esta investigación es identificar las estrategias que siguen los periodistas para crear o reforzar su marca personal en Twitter. La metodología empleada se basa en entrevistas en profundidad a 15 periodistas españoles de distintos perfiles y roles profesionales. Los resultados permiten identificar y conceptualizar las cuatro estrategias básicas que utilizan para moldear la imagen que proyectan ante su audiencia social. Estas estrategias son el posicionamiento, la curación de contenidos, la personalización y la especialización. Este estudio también permite establecer las principales habilidades y recursos asociados a cada estrategia. Asimismo, se detecta una visión optimista respecto a las ventajas que genera tener marca personal en Twitter. Al respecto, se han identificado tres grandes modalidades de oportunidades: las profesionales, las asociadas a la audiencia y las institucionales.
